SCA provides high-quality, faith-based education to students in preschool through 12th grade. We are looking for teachers who know God and who want to discover purpose, maximize potential, and make a difference in the lives of young people.
Summit teachers are hired on a 9-month contract. As a condition of employment, all positions require satisfactory completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Position Summary
The Secondary Technology and Innovation Teacher is responsible for developing and delivering technology-focused learning experiences for students in grades 9–12, with an emphasis on creativity, problem-solving, project-based learning, ethical digital practices, and real-world application.
This new position will expand and strengthen technology-focused learning opportunities at Summit Christian Academy. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated passion, experience, or expertise in one or more technology-related areas, such as robotics, coding, digital media production, videography, podcasting, competitive gaming, engineering concepts, design thinking, or related disciplines.
Rather than fitting the position into a single structure, Summit will identify the right educator and work together to build a program tailored to that person’s technical skills, instructional strengths, industry knowledge, and creative vision. This role includes developing curriculum pathways, designing project-based learning experiences, integrating real-world applications, and cultivating student engagement through hands-on exploration and innovation.
Through technology education, students will be encouraged to know God, maximize potential, discover purpose, and make a difference in the world by applying creativity, problem-solving, and ethical digital practices in ways that reflect a Christ-centered worldview. The Secondary Technology and Innovation Teacher will intentionally mentor students toward excellence, integrity, leadership, and service, helping them see how their technical gifts can be used to honor God and positively impact others.
This role offers opportunities for program development, student leadership initiatives, extracurricular expansion, and long-term growth in a forward-thinking Christian educational environment.
