The Assembly is a non-profit ministry located in Broken Arrow, OK, existing to serve neighbors and nations. Position Summary: This position assists in building maintenance, custodial work, and room set up for requested events. No previous experience is required. Work days will be Thursday – Monday with 4 plus hours per day. Pay rate will be $14 per hour.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- General overall disinfecting, dusting, and cleaning of the building to include bathrooms, offices, and classrooms.
- Restocking of restrooms and other areas of needed supplies.
- Trash removal.
- Table and chair set up and tear down before and after events.
- Performs light maintenance duties through the building, such as, changing light bulbs, painting, clogged toilets, miscellaneous repairs of doors, etc.
- Maintains fire and health safety standards of the building and repairs or corrects items that need attention. For example, snow/ice removal, removing of items from the exterior or entryways.
- Maintains equipment in proper working order.
Experience/Skills/Abilities:
High school diploma is preferred. No previous experience required. Previous experience using and the care of commonly used equipment and tools, and basic and semiskilled facility maintenance repair experiences is preferred. Must have good customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Requires the ability to demonstrate acceptable degree of skills in the areas mentioned in the job duties. Must be organized, able to multitask, and detailed oriented. Must be able to read, hear, comprehend, and timely execute instructions that are in writing and/or verbally communicated. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to perform a variety of tasks in a fast paced environment, and support other team members to ensure all essential tasks are completed on a daily basis.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS will include but not be limited to: walking, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, climbing hand over hand, bending, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, and manual operation of equipment. Frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals. Occasional exposure to loud noises from equipment and/or events. Work may involve being outdoors in extreme temperatures.
