Position Summary:

The role of the Financial Assistant is to perform daily accounting tasks specific to Accounts Receivable that will support the Finance Department. This position is responsible for assisting with recording payments and other sources of income for the schools and to develop financial records and reports.

Education:

Requires a high school diploma. Some college coursework is preferred.

Experience/Skills/Abilities:

Requires one to three years of applicable experience in the field of accounting/bookkeeping preferably in a church or nonprofit environment.

Proficient with the use of Windows 7, MS Office Word and Excel and have aptitude to learn and efficiently utilize other computer software.

Must have excellent verbal, written, organizational, interpersonal, multitasking, and communication skills and be meticulous with details. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Must maintain a high level of confidentiality of information.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS will include but not be limited to: regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Hours of Work & Attendance:

Normal work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Travel:

Some travel between campuses may be required by car.

This position requires the satisfactory completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 – $20.00 per hour
